This battery is taken from the Subsidiary of BYD the FIN Dreams. This is a 2nd generation Blade battery which is used widely in India by other EV manufacturer also. The battery of e Vitara contains 120 Li-ion cells which are parallelly configured. The nominal voltage of each cell is 3.2V. This battery can work efficiently in -30 degree to 60 degree Celsius temperature. The charging cycle and life cycle is almost double than the general LFP cells. The platform also helped in optimizing the battery very efficiently. One cell of the LFP battery can store between 138 to 202 ampere.

The battery supports superfast charger, at full capacity it can be charged fully in just 11 minutes it comes with 5.5 C certification. This battery is highly efficient which can be charged and discharged quickly. This helps in fast acceleration during driving. It takes no time to release the current. Liquid coolant is used to keep the heat low in the cells. The battery is suspension mount as well, to manage variable load, these work as shock absorber and can consume side impacts also to save the battery. the battery is IP67 certified. The battery passed multiple different tests like fire test, drop test, nail penetration test etc.

What is the range of E Vitara in KM?
The range of e Vitara is 440kms with real world range will be 380-390kms. Actually Motor it uses is PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) which comes with eAxle technology, which is developed after taking help from multiple companies. In this technology Inverter, motor and Transmission is equipped and integrated at one place. Toyota, Blue Nexus and Asian Corporation and Denso corporation have taken part in designing this engine.
