• Do not go on the hilly area with a new car. It causes high load on the engine and engine will get noisy. This causes more wear and tear than normal running. Try to drive the car slowly with light foot driving for first 1500 to 2000 kms. 5000km is for better maintenance.
• Engine splash shield (Engine guard/splash guard/underbody cover) helps in keeping engine safe. So proper cleaning of the car and check it for any mud accumulation from beneath is also important. It saves the engine from water, stones, mud other splashes from engine chamber from below. So try to check it for any damage.

• Apply proper gears while driving. Do not pick up the car on higher gears, gear down when the car is at low speed.

• Do not drive the car at very low fuel condition. Running on low and on Reserve oil cause the car and fuel pump damaged. It creates extra load on the fuel pump and also the fact that the fuel pump gets cool down by the petrol it has. So always try to keep at least 5-10 Liters of fuel inside the oil tank it will keep the fuel pump dipped in the fuel. Fuel pump damage can cause its replacement and up to 10000Rp expense.
• Never keep your hand on the gear nob while driving. The hand creates pressure on the gear ball and causes its wear down. It can damage the gear box in long term by applying the pressure. Once time damage can cause the gear box replacement.
• Always use synthetic oil for car. Mineral oil will damage the engine. So use semi synthetic or fully synthetic oil.
• If mineral oil has been used then get the service done the before the service schedule. also if running is on short trips than service before time is suggested, on high traffic engine gets heat up and oil pressure goes down,
• For automatic cars it is suggested that first stop the car then apply hand breaks and then put the car on park mode. This will help in saving the internal components of gear shifting system.
