Yamaha has finally launched its flagship and beautiful looking XSR 155 bike in India. The XSR 155 is long awaited product in 155 CC segment. This bike is one in the Modern but Retro style design from Yamaha. XSR is loved internationally now will it get same response from Indian Market? What changes the company has actually done from International model, lets find out.
XSR 155 Engine specification
The XSR 155 is actually based on Yamaha’s sports segment bike MT-15. The Engine is same as the MT-15 which is 155cc SOHC liquid cool with VVA technology with 6 speed gear box. This engine produces 18BHP power with 14NM torque. The top speed will be around 140 KMPH.
Differences From International Version
The Bike has some differences from the international version like in India we get simple Key rather than wave key, LED indicators are provided for Indian version only, same headlight with half DRLs, normal 100 section tyre at front no off road type tyre, rear view mirror is not round shape. These are some of the changes that Indian XSR is getting.
XSR 155 Overall Design and Color options
The bike is coming in 4 color options Metallic Blue, Greyish Green Metallic, Vivid Red and Metallic Grey. To add retro design element the bike has got chunky exhaust pipe, circular headlights with XSR logo. The circular meter console having features like gear position indicator, traction control, RPM meter, Fuel meter, Trip 1 and Trip 2, Mileage indicator and it also shows average speed.
The bike is based on Deltabox frame which is considered very stable. It also has Aluminium swingarm, monoshock suspension at rear, upside down forks, rib type seat with grabbing strap is pretty much comfortable, circular LED tail lamp, LED indicators at front and back. Everything is very nicely designed in retro style. Also the breaking is Dual disc type and also Dual Channel ABS it has.
The seat height is 810mm, ground clearance 170mm and Engine Guard is also provided, 1325mm wheel base, 11 litre fuel tank capacity, 140 section wide rear tyre. The bike also has Start stop button, hazard button.
XSR 155 Mileage
The bike is having smart Fuel Injection system that helps in giving better fuel efficiency of around 45KMPL. If driving light foot it is expected to give 50 KMPL mileage that it is capable of.
XSR 155 On road Price
The bike is priced at Rs. 1.49 lakh ex-showroom which is very decent price for this type of bike. On road the bike will cost around 1.80 Lakh approx. It’s a very competitive price as the bike is having high quality parts and modern features.
